Overview

Family & Consumer Education empowers individuals and families across the lifespan for responsible citizenship by providing students opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for managing the challenges of living and working in a diverse global society. Its unique focus is on the relationships among individuals, families, and the community environments in which they live, work and contribute. Students have the opportunity to be a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America where they may participate in skill and technical competitive events at the local, regional, state and national levels or be active in community service projects.
