How to download and install Microsoft Office

  1. Visit login.microsoftonline.com and sign in using your school email credentials.

  4. The download may take some time to complete. When the download is complete, open the .pkg file to begin the installation process.Screen Shot 2016-10-07 at 9.47.23 AM
  5. The installation process can take up to 15 minutes to complete and requires an internet connection.
    1. Click Continue on the Introduction screen. officeinstall1

    3. Click Agree on the license agreement screen. officeinstall3
    4. Click Continue on the Destination Select screen.officeinstall4
    5. Click Installofficeinstall5
    6. Enter your network password and click Install Software.officeinstall6
    7. The Office suite will now install. It will say that there is less than a minute left, however, it can take up to 10 minutes.officeinstall7
    8. On the Installation was successful screen, click Close.officeinstall8
    9. You may see another screen offering to delete the installation file, click Move to Trash.officeinstall9
  6. After you have completed the installation process. Open the Word app by going into the Applications folder and double-clicking on the icon.officesetup1
  7. Click Get Started.officesetup2
  8. Click Sign In.officesetup3
  9. Enter your school email address and click Next.officesetup4
  10. Enter your school email address and password and click Sign In.officesetup5
  11. Choose between Colorful or Classic and click Continue.officesetup6
  12. On the You’re All Set screen, click Start Using Word.officesetup7
  13. You may see an update screen appear at this point. If you do, click Install to update the Microsoft Office programs.
  14. You are now done!
