- Visit login.microsoftonline.com and sign in using your school email credentials.
- After you have signed in, in the upper right-hand corner click on Install Office 2016.
- Choose where to download the installation file and click Save.
- The download may take some time to complete. When the download is complete, open the .pkg file to begin the installation process.
- The installation process can take up to 15 minutes to complete and requires an internet connection.
- Click Continue on the Introduction screen.
- Click Continue on the License screen.
- Click Agree on the license agreement screen.
- Click Continue on the Destination Select screen.
- Click Install
- Enter your network password and click Install Software.
- The Office suite will now install. It will say that there is less than a minute left, however, it can take up to 10 minutes.
- On the Installation was successful screen, click Close.
- You may see another screen offering to delete the installation file, click Move to Trash.
- Click Continue on the Introduction screen.
- After you have completed the installation process. Open the Word app by going into the Applications folder and double-clicking on the icon.
- Click Get Started.
- Click Sign In.
- Enter your school email address and click Next.
- Enter your school email address and password and click Sign In.
- Choose between Colorful or Classic and click Continue.
- On the You’re All Set screen, click Start Using Word.
- You may see an update screen appear at this point. If you do, click Install to update the Microsoft Office programs.
