We walk with our neighbors to end hunger”

We would like to invite you to join us for our 4th annual Coulee Region Hunger Walk. This year’s walk/run will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 1:30 pm. Coulee Region Hunger Walk is an organization with the goal of providing food for families in need.  The organization supports this goal with a yearly “Coulee Region Hunger Walk”.  We would like to thank you in advance for all you do to make your community a better place to live.

You are encouraged to form a team or several within your organization for some friendly competition. You can submit your team name now. Our individual registration will start September 9, 2022.

The route for the 5km walk/run portion of the event will begin at Myrick Park Main Shelter and take the following route:

Begin at main shelter, -Left on La Crosse Street, -Right on 23rd Street, -Right on State, -Left on 14th Street, -Left on Cass Street, -Left on 17th Street, -Right on Main Street, -1820 Main Street (Water and bathrooms at Congregation Sons of Abraham), -Left on 23rd Street, -Left on La Crosse Street, -Right to main shelter

Hunger Task Force and WAFER each receive 25% of the proceeds from each participant.  Participants can name another food relief organization to receive 50%. Those agencies include:

Bethel Butikk, Bread for the World, Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services, Church World Services, Couleecap, ELCA World Hunger, Holmen Area Food Pantry, Lutheran World Relief, La Crescent Food Shelf, La Crescent Lunch Wagon, La Crosse Warming Center, Onalaska/Holmen Food Basket, Place of Grace, Salvation Army Food Pantry, School District of La Crosse, School District of Onalaska, UWL Food Pantry, Viterbo Food Pantry, WTC Food Pantry, and West Salem Area Community Care & Share.
