2019 Summer Institute

Get Ready to “Co-Plan to Co-Serve”

Are YOU ready for Summer Institute 2019-2020? This Summer Institute represents the beginning of a long-awaited, transformative shift in instructional practice for district and staff.  In 2016-2017, the School District of La Crosse embarked on a new multi-year instructional plan focused on Integrated Comprehensive Systems (ICS) promoting social justice and equity for our students. In subsequent years, we have built upon this baseline work by exploring transformative practices for student engagement (2017-2018) and universal instruction (2018-2019). Now, we welcome year four of our multi-year plan, a move toward exploring an exciting and truly transformational stage of our district’s journey.

The Co-Plan to Co-Serve training presented in Summer Institute 2019 is designed to establish an essential foundation for this work and then to take participants step-by-step through the most critical stages in developing a Co-Plan to Co-Serve philosophy in a classroom or school. The spiraled design of the Institute works to establish a baseline understanding of Co-Plan to Co-Serve and then layers in training essential to making this model truly impactful.

Gold Brochure Needs You!

For years, one of the school district’s most popular staff development opportunities has been Gold Brochure. Gold Brochure gives our staff members the opportunity to share their expertise in a broad range of topics by creating their own Professional Development Course to be offered during after-school hours.

We are now accepting course proposals for Gold Brochure.
