School Year Practices:

Every school day beginning October 26 after school until 4:30pm in the Lincoln gymnasiums. Students are bused to and from away games. A “DECLINE OF TRANSPORTATION” form is required if students want to ride home with a parent from away games.  There is no practice on early release or non-school days.

December 20 -v- GET:  Lincoln 8th grade A team ended their season with a tough loss to Longfellow. Quincy Kay, Grant Amundson, and Richard Cole were aggressive all night. Jack Mchugh Sale, Eli Dahman and Carter Thill controlled the boards and Calvin Fennie was playing lock down defense. Joseph Krueger had a monster block shot. Coach Joling and Alexander would like to thank all of the 8th grade boys for their hard work and dedication all season.The Lincoln 8th grade B team defeated GET by a score of 36 to 26 last night.  Nathan Lange and Jaborious Norwood led the charge on offense and controlled the paint.  Vincent Tooke, Kaleb Jick,  and Drake Thompson also had some key buckets.  On defense, Dakota Gruen and Amarion Carter played tough and scrappy, keeping GET from getting back into the game.  Great game everyone! Lincoln 8th grade A team lost a heart breaker to GET by 3.  Lincoln played great defense all night and fought hard all night. Grant Amundson was aggressive all night and Quincy Kay did a great job handling the pressure. The 7th grade B team lost a close game 32-35. Matthew Krueger lead the team with 14 points, just missing a buzzer beater that would have tied up the game.  Austin Martin had 8 points to help the cause, while Jacob VonRuden  chipped in with 6.  The A team won 53-27 with Noah Compan scoring 12 of his game high 16 points in the first quarter.  Devon Fielding had 10 points, Feran March had 8.  Our final game is Thursday –v- Longfellow at home.

December 15 -v- Winona:  Lincoln lost a hard fought game against Winona.  The Cougars were led by the hot shooting of Carter Thill and Grant Amundson.  Richard Cole and Myqwahn Eid controlled the boards and Eli Dahman, Quincy Kay, and Joseph Krueger were playing locked down defense.  Lincoln is back in action Tuesday at GET.  The 8th grade B team defeated Winona last night, 37 to 27.  Nathan Lange led the charge on offense and had his mid range jumper working.   Vincent Tooke also provided the team with extra scoring.  On defense, Amarion Carter and Adire Murphy played tough and consistently.  Great game everyone!  The 7th grade B team came up on the short end against Winona.  They were led in scoring by Matthew Krueger with 11 points, followed by Aiden Hutchenreuter with 6.  Wyatt Restell also chipped in with 4 points.  Levi Lyman and Austin Martin played well on the boards. The 7th grade A team won 45-27 last night with Devon Fielding leading the way with 13 points. Quinn Servais was the rebound leader.  JaTay had 8 points, Collin Adams 7 and Noah Compan 5 to round out scoring.  Our next game is Tuesday at GET.

December 13 -v- Holmen:  The 7th grade team took on the Holmen Vikings on December 13. The B team won a close one 29-26. DJ Coakley led the way with 15 points, followed by Geno Yellowbird with 8. The A team also won 58-32. It was a total team effort as every member of the team scored. Noah Compan had 15 points, followed by Devon Fielding with 10. Feron March had 9 and JaTay McKinney had 8 with many nice assists. The 8th grade A team lost a tough one to Holmen. Myqwahn Eid did a great job on the board and knocked down a big 3. Richard Cole was aggressive taking it to the hoop all night and Quincy Kay did a good job dealing with the Holmen defensive pressure. The 8th grade B team lost a close match to Holmen last night, 32 to 22. Nathan Lange led the way on offense, scoring 9 points. Nick Duncanson also made several aggressive plays under the hoop. On defense, Adire Murphy worked the Holmen guards hard, notching 3 steals. Lincoln is back in action Thursday at Winona

December 12 -v- Onalaska:  the 7th grade B teams were in action last night against Onalaska.  the Red team lost 24-30 in the first game.  Both DJ Coakley and Darieyion Harris lead the team in scoring with 10 points each.  The White team lost a nailbiter by 2 points 25-27. Matthew Krueger lead the team with 11 points. Levi Lyman and Phoenix Riggall also chipped in 4 each. Our next game is December 13 at home against Holmen.

December 5 -v- Tomah:  The 7th grade B team traveled to Tomah to take on the Timberwolves. Max VanZee lead with 19 points (wow). Geno Yellowbird chipped in 7 points and DJ Coakley added 4.  Owen Kennedy gets the Windex award for most rebounds.  The 7th grade A team also won.  The team was led by Ja’Tay McKinney with 10 pints, followed by Feron March and Adam Olson with 8.  Noah Compan and Collin Adams each had 6 points and Devon Fielding lead the team with 11.   Lincoln 8th grade A team lost Tomah by 8. Lincoln fought hard all night, but couldn’t get out of an early hole. Grant Amundson, Quincy Kay and Calvin Fennie all played good defense throughout. Lincoln is back in action Thursday versus Onalaska at home. The 8th grade B team lost a close match to Tomah last night 23 to 27. Jaborius Norwood led the way on offense, dominating the paint. On the defensive side, Adire Murphy kept Tomah’s guards in check. Overall, the team worked hard and played Tomah tough through the end.  Our next game is at home on Thursday against Onalaska.

December 1 –v- Sparta:  Lincoln 8th grade A Team won 48-42.  Lincoln was led by Jack Mchugh-Sake and Richard Cole on the boards and scoring.  Quincy Kay and Calvin Fennie were defensive stoppers and Joseph Krueger hit a big 3 for the Cougars.  The 8th grade B team lost a close match to Tomah last night 23 to 27.  Jaborius Norwood led the way on offense, dominating the paint.  On the defensive side, Adire Murphy kept Tomah’s guards in check.  Overall, the team worked hard and played Tomah tough through the end. The 7th grade B team won 31-19 and were lead in scoring by Matthew Krueger with 9 points, followed closely by Kolter Borge with 8. Phoenix Rigall, Lev Lyman, Austin Martin, and Aiden Hutchenrueter also scored to help the team win.  The 7th grade A team won 44-18.  Devon Fielding was feeling it last night scoring 13 points, followed by Collin Adams with 9 and Ja’Tay McKinney chipped in 8.  Our next game is Monday against Tomah.

November 29 -v- Westby:  The 8th grade A team won 61-26.  Lincoln was led by the hot shooting of Carter Thill and the aggressive play of Richard Cole.  Joseph Krueger, Calvin Fennie and Quincy Kay racked up the steals all night and Myqwahn Eid, Grant Amundson, Jack Mchugh Sake and Eli Dahman controlled the boards. The 8th grade B team also beat Westby last night 35 to 27.  Drake Thompson played tough under the rim, hitting several contested shots.  Kaleb Jick also had a good offensive performance, nailing down a 3 pointer.  On defense, Eli Carr and Griffin Roper continued physical defensive play, making it tough for Westby to get to the hoop.  Great game everyone!  The 7th grade A team won 46-21. Scoring leaders were Devon Fielding and Feron March with 11 and 10 respectively.  Theran Smith wins the Defensive Award with numerous steals and great defense.  The 7th grade B team was also in action beating Westby 39-28 with DJ Coakley leading the team I scoring with 12 followed by Max VanZee with 10. Dariyon Harris wins the Windex Award for killing the boards.  Our next game is Thursday at home against Sparta.

November 21 -v- Aquinas:  The 8th grade B team lost a tough match to Aquinas 41 to 33 last night.  Despite the loss, the team fought to keep the pressure on.  Amarion Carter and Vincent Tooke had top offensive performances.  Each had buckets at key moments.  Nick Duncanson and Kaleb Jick also played aggressive defense.  Great effort everyone! Lincoln 8th grade A-team lost a tough one to Aquinas.  Lincoln was led by the aggressive play of Grant Amundson, Richard Cole and Calvin Fennie.  Lincoln is back in action next Tuesday at home versus Westby. The 7th grade B team traveled to Aquinas and lost a tough one by one point (25-26).  They had balanced scoring with Phoenix Riggal and Jacob VonRuden, each scoring 6 points.  Kolter Borge also helped out with 4 points.  The 7th grade A team won to extend their winning streak to 4 games.  They were lead by Ja’Tay McKinney with 14 points.  Collin Adams chipped in with 8 points and Feran March had 6 points to go along with his many assists.

November 17 -v- West Salem: The 8th grade A-tea won 40-10. Lincoln was led in scoring by Jack McHugh Sake and Richard Cole. Carter Thill, Eli Dahman and Grant Amundson controlled the boards. .The 8th grade B team defeated West Salem last night 43 to 21.  Jaborious Norwood led the way with 12 points, while Armaion Carter and Nathan Lange also played solid games on offense. Griffin Roper played like he was 7 feet tall on defense, blocking a couple of West Salem’s shots.  Great effort everyone!  The 7th grade B team took on the Panthers and won by 10 points.  The team was lead by Geno Yellowbird with 17 points. Owen Kennedy also chipped in 9 points. The A team won convincingly with 8 players scoring, lead by Collin Adams who was hot from outside scoring three 3 pointers and leading team scoring with 13 points.  Noah Compan (10 pints) and JaTay McKinney (9 points). Our next game is Monday at Aquinas.

November 15 -v- Logan Middle: 8th Grade A Team:  Lincoln beat Logan 51-41.  Everyone stepped up for the Cougars last night. Joseph Krueger, Eli Dahman, and Lucas Johnson all knocked down three pointers.  Richard Cole, Jack Mchugh Sake, and Myqwahn Eid controlled the boards and Quincy Kay knocked down clutch free throws down the stretch.  8th grade B Team:  Lincoln defeated Logan by a score of 39 to 22.  Nathan Lange had an impressive offensive performance, while Will Larson made three clutch 3 pointers in a row.  Elliot Larson also spent some time by the rim and scored some points.  Jaborious Norwood played solid defense, denying Logan for most of the game. Great team effort!  The 7th grade B team lost, but Austin Martin scored all of Lincoln’s points.  The 7th grade A team was victorious again with a score of 47-24.  Lincoln had balanced scoring with 8 guys scoring points.  Lead by Devon Fielding and JaTay McKinney with 12 points a piece and Noah Compan with 8.  Feran March also was the key assist leader. Way to go guys. Our next game is Thursday at West Salem.

November 10 –v- Longfellow:  8th Grade A Team:  Lincoln lost 53-33 to Longfellow.  The Cougars were led by the shooting of Quincy Kay, the defense of Calvin Fennie, and the rebounding of Jack McHugh-Sake. The Lincoln Middle 8th grade B team defeated a tough Longfellow team 33 – 23 last night. Nathan Lange led the way on offense, scoring 10 points.  Akorn Vang also played a good game from the point.  Jaborious Norwood and Dakota Gruen played tough, scrappy defense, denying Longfellow for most of the game.  Great game everyone!  The 7th grade B-team started the season off with a win 25-12.  Leading the way was Max VanZee, Owen Kennedy, and Thomas Greany.  The A-team also started their season off with a big win 58-19. Noah Compan lead the team in scoring with 12 points, followed by Devon Fielding with 10.  Quinn Servais and Collin Adams also chipped in with 6 points apiece, while Adam Olson had 7 points. It was a great all around team effort.  Coach Grade is extremely proud of the defensive effort and hustle.  Lincoln’s next game is Tuesday at home against Logan.  Reminder to the basketball team there is no practice tonight due to the early release.
