World Cultures Club

1st meeting will be Wednesday, October 21 from 2:55pm-4:00pm in room 201

The mission of the Lincoln/SOTA II/Coulee Montessori World Cultures Club is to promote awareness of and encourage appreciation for as many different global cultures through engaging and authentic experience. Meeting to meeting activities will vary, including guest speakers, cooking and tasting of foods, exploring music and dance, sports, and traditional holiday customs of varying regions around the world. World Cultures Club, in cooperation with the German Club, will host Go Global Week in March which will provide daily cultural events to all students, different ethnic foods for school breakfast and lunches, and culminate with the Go Global mixer. We will end the year with a gastronomical “trip around the world” to some of LaCrosse’s multicultural culinary destinations to sample authentic foods from varying regions around the world. Our primary focus for 2015-2016 will be awareness of Hmong and Hispanic Cultures, but others will be explored as well!
