PENNY WARS

The Lincoln/SOTA II/Coulee Montessori Student Council is sponsoring a Penny War to raise money for New Horizons, an organization that helps women who are in unsafe situations. Each homeroom will have a bucket. Pennies will equal positive points. But, silver coins and dollar bills take away from your total.
Student Council would like to thank everyone for their effort and competitive spirit during the Penny Wars. As three schools, we raised $283.37, which will all be donated to New Horizons, a shelter here in La Crosse for individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence. The homeroom competitions were exciting. In the end, it was the positive points that won out. Congratulations to MONTESSORI for having the most positive points, 6045. Mrs. Paula Johnson will be in contact with you to plan your pizza party.
DECK THE DOORS
CONGRATULATIONS to the Student Council Deck the Door contest winners! In third place, we have Mrs. O’Mara’s class. In 2nd place, we have Montessori. And the grand champion door decorators of this school year is … drumroll please… Mrs. Duddeck’s class! Congratulations to those three classes for fabulous door decor and school spirit! Mrs. P. Johnson will deliver the traveling trophy and hook you up with prizes very soon!
