Guidance counselors are available at Lincoln Middle School to discuss individual needs regarding students.
TANYA VAUGHN, GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Viterbo University and my Masters degree in School and Community Counseling from Winona State University. I love working with middle school students because they are at the stage of life where they are beginning to figure out who they are and how they fit into the world. It is an exciting and challenging time for students and I feel fortunate to be a part of it!
RICK BLASING, GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
“I am privileged to have had a rich career working in education, having served the first fourteen years as a social science instructor at the high school and community college levels. My career as school counselor began at Central High School in La Crosse, with the last 13 years at Lincoln/SOTA II/CMAP. My post-baccalaureate work includes an MA degree in History/Sociology from Fort Hays State University (Kansas) and an MS degree in School Counseling from Winona State University.”
“I deeply enjoy working with students who are at various stages in their life. In particular, I possess a keen affinity with those students at the middle school level. They are at such a significant junction in their young lives; they can ponder the endless opportunities in their future and reflect on those rich possibilities that abound. It is my heart-felt mission to help each student discover their talents and interests, and to offer them the tools needed to build a successful and rewarding life of their choosing.”
