Hello Logan Rangers!

My name is Dariyan Adams, and I am the new school counselor at Logan High School! I grew up in La Crosse WI and graduated from Logan High! I am thrilled to start this new year alongside all of you and can’t wait to see all the exciting things you bring to the table! Before starting at Logan, I graduated from Minnesota State – Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in both Family Consumer Science and Family Life and Child Development. I am currently completing my master’s degree at Winona State University in School Counseling while also pursuing a dual master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my spare time, I love traveling, hiking, spending time with my family, and exploring the outdoors with my dog, Porter. I am very excited to start this new year with all of you and can’t wait to see all the exciting things you accomplish!

One piece of advice that I have for students is to believe in yourself and your abilities. It’s important to understand that success is often a journey of ups and downs, but trust in your ability to overcome challenges. Remember that mistakes are a part of learning and that they offer opportunities for growth. As Winston Churchill once said, “success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

As a Logan High alumnus, I am looking forward to establishing relationships with students and assisting each of you in discovering your interests, strengths, and passions – just as my school counselors once did for me.

I can’t wait to see what exciting things you all accomplish this year. If you have any questions or anything I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Kindly,
Dariyan Adams
