For HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT RECOVERY courses contact your child’s high school Counselor.
Eligible students = current 9th – 11th grades during the 2025-2026 school year.

If your child will be participating in an Extended School Year (ESY) program, please contact the Special Education office.
Summer School Registration/Enrollment
Looking for an awesome way to spend your summer? Look no further than summer school!
That’s right, summer school isn’t just for catching up on missed coursework anymore. We have a ton of fun and exciting programs lined up for you this year that are guaranteed to make your summer one to remember.
Want to learn how to code? We have a program for that! How about exploring the great outdoors? Yep, we have that too. And if you’re looking to unleash your inner artist, we have classes on drawing, painting, and music!
That’s not all. We also have plenty of sports and fitness programs, so you can stay active and have a blast with your friends. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting out, there’s something for everyone. Plus, you’ll get to soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful weather while you’re at it.
And don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about academics. We have classes in math, science, and reading, so you can keep your brain sharp over the summer and be ready to hit the ground running when the new school year starts.

Foundations Registration February 27 – March 13 & March 23 – April 13, 2026
Reading & Math Elementary and Middle Schools, Preschool Pals, Kindercapers, High School Original Credit. For High School Credit Recovery course registration contract your school counselor.
Enrichment Course Registration Opens 6:30am on March 23 – April 13, 2026:
You may also still enroll for Foundation courses during the Enrichment Course registration dates.
Currently Enrolled Students
Any student who resides in the School District of La Crosse attendance area may enroll online in our summer school program at no charge.

Currently Open Enrolled Students
Students who live outside the district attendance area, but who were open enrolled and attended a School District of La Crosse School the previous year, may attend at no charge.

Residents in the School District of La Crosse Needing to Enroll for Summer School (not actively enrolled with La Crosse)
If your child attends a parochial school or is homeschooled AND has never attended summer school or is recently returning within the School District of La Crosse boundaries please follow the information below and complete steps 1 – 4.
If any child in your family has attended Summer School in the past, use your login and password to go into Skyward Family Access where you will be able to click on “New Student Online Enrollment” (Located on the left side of the screen) to add an additional child or children. Once enrolled, you can register them for the courses they wish to participate in. If you have forgotten your login or password, please call the Summer School Office (608-789-8955).
All New Student Online Enrollments must be submitted by 3:00pm on Friday, March 13, 2026 to ensure access to online course registration on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6:30 a.m. New families will need to complete online enrollment and email summer@lacrossesd.org, fax (608) 789-8423 or deliver in-person proof of address to the District Office, 2405 Travis Street, La Crosse, WI 54601. This can be submitted by providing one of the following: utility bill, lease, or piece of US mail with your name and address. New families will also need to provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
To register for summer school follow these instructions:
- New Family Enrollment
- Provide documents noted above (once approved proceed to steps 3 & 4)
- Open “Registration Instructions”
- Select “Skyward Registration”
Non-resident/Non-open Enrolled Students Needing to Enroll for Summer School (not actively enrolled with La Crosse)
Any students living outside the district attendance area or not actively open enrolled, may attend where space is available but will be charged tuition to attend. For more information on the tuition fee, please call the summer school office at 789-8955.
