La Crosse Engineering Academy

Overview

The La Crosse Engineering Academy is a two-year opportunity to prepare students entering the 11th and 12th grade for education and careers related to ENGINEERING!
*All courses will be taught by high school instructors and held at the Western Technical College in La Crosse.

Mission Statement

To provide interested students with robust opportunities to explore careers and local work experiences related to Engineering!

11th Grade- Year One

Period 1 *AP Physics or English 12  – Full Year
Period 2 *Fundamentals of Electronics – 1st Semester
Period 2 *Engineering Processes  – 2nd Semester
Period 3 *Robotics & Programmable Logic Controllers – 1st Semester
Period 3 *Mechatronics – 2nd Semester

 

12th Grade- Year Two

Period 1 Physics or English 12 – Full Year
Period 2 Engineering Design Capstone – Full Year
Period 3 *SolidWorks – 1st Semester
Period 3 Microcontroller and Programming Applications – 2nd Semester
