Hello! My name is Tricia George and I am the new Kindergarten teacher here at Spence Elementary. Although this is my first year at Spence, I have taught in the Preschool program for 14 years at Coulee Children’s Center in La Crosse, and taught Pre-K last year part time at Summit Environmental. I received my degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood from Carroll University and moved back to La Crosse after graduation.
Family is very important to me and I have the privilege of being a Mommy to three very active and wonderful boys, and a wife to Nahmie George who teaches at Central High School here in La Crosse. We enjoy going to many sporting events together, playing board games, and going anywhere that’s warm!
Teaching is the other important thing in my life. I truly have a passion for teaching young children, and love their passion and curiosity for learning. It is a great pleasure to see the “light bulb” go on when teaching a new skill and I can’t imagine a more rewarding, fun-filled job than teaching.
