My name is Lila Planavsky. I am a Special Education Teacher. I have been a Special Education teacher since 2011 and have been at Summit Environmental School since 2014. I previously taught in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have my masters in Special Education with a focus in literacy instruction. In my free time I enjoy being active including training for and running long distance races including marathons and ultra marathons. I also enjoy spending time with my family. My husband is also a teacher for the LaCrosse school district. We enjoy hiking and spending time outside together with our son. I grew up in the LaCrosse area. We spend a lot of time especially in the summer gardening and riding horses on my sister’s farm. I believe that the focus of education should be on the whole child. Every child has important contributions to make. I enjoy engaging my students in real world experiences to help them reach their potential.
