Hello, my name is JoLynn Jensen. I began my teaching career as a special educator. Presently, as a second grade teacher it is my pleasure to help children grow as responsible life-long learners and to unwrap their learning potential. Since 1998, I have been a proud member of the Summit Environmental School community. Our second grade team works collaboratively to meet our mission: to provide our students with a solid educational foundation in the core academic areas with an environmental focus integrated throughout the curriculum.
I am originally from Madison, but have called La Crosse home since coming here in 1986. I was drawn to the area’s natural beauty. When I am not teaching, I can be found spending time with my family or friends. I like being outdoors, looking for birds and wildlife while exploring nature. I enjoy movies, cooking, reading, biking, boating on the Mississippi River, and hiking the bluffs.
