Welcome to Summit Environmental School’s Student Council!
Student Council is a student government group made up of two students from each classroom in grades first through fifth (this is in addition to any officers in your room). It is a way for students to have a say in running the school and to make Summit Environmental School a better place to be. Some of our past activities include running the School Store, perishable food donations for i-feed and WAFER, animal supply donations for the Human Society and sponsoring the Aluminum Recycling Contest. We have also paid for many projects including playground equipment, the school garden, and buses for all-school field trips!
Once again this year the Student Council will meet after school from 2:45-3:45. We will meet two Thursdays each month, beginning October 10th. Representatives must be responsible for arranging a way home on meeting days on time at 3:45 and no later due then 3:45, due to supervisor schedules and other engagements.
We are looking for a very productive year!
