Hello! I am proud to be part of Summit Environmental School’s dynamic and devoted staff. I earned my BA degree in Education in Minnesota, specializing in Preschool-6th grade and science education. I earned my MA.ED degree in LaCrosse and have taught for 31 years, 14 of those years with the LaCrosse school district. My husband, our two (mostly grown) kids and I, are true rural folks and live on a small acreage 45 miles north of LaCrosse. We have a few assorted pets and livestock that keep us very entertained and busy in all of the best WISCONSIN weather! As my students and I begin each day of learning at Summit, I think of their ambition, potential, and growing minds and a quote from Madeleine L’Engle: “Possible things are easy to believe. The glorious, (and seemingly) impossibilities, are those that bring joy to our hearts, hope to our lives, and songs in our hearts.” I’m excited to work with you as an educational team, and can be reached best during lunch at 11:00-11:40 and after school 2:45-3:30 (don’t hesitate to call after this time, I’m frequently in the classroom longer.)
