Martin Maus
Hi, my name is Marty Maus. I have been teaching at Summit since 1993, and before that, I taught at Hamilton for eight years. I really enjoy teaching fifth grade: the content is more complex, the reading books are usually quite good, and the students are learning to deal with more responsibilities and freedom. Also, Fifth grade students are inquisitive, honest, assertive, and know right from wrong. Additionally, I like working at Summit because of the outdoor and environmental aspects of the school’s campus. Much of my master’s work was devoted to environmental education.
