My name is Deb Klaeser. I live in La Crosse and enjoy the natural setting it offers. I love to paddle, hike, bike and camp so the Coulee Region is a great fit for my outdoor interests. I have two daughters that will leave me “empty nesting” soon… and two beagles that keep me very busy.
I feel fortunate to be part of the team here at Summit Environmental School. My career as a teacher has spanned 29 years— 25 of them within the La Crosse School District. I received a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from U. W. La Crosse and a Masters degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary’s University.
Surprisingly, I started in physical therapy at UWL. It was a science experience working with Summit Fourth graders over 30 years ago that first inspired me to go into teaching! I feel like I have come back to my roots.
