Ms. Morgan Schmidt

Hello! My name is Morgan Haggerty Schmidt and I am excited to be teaching music at Summit! This is my eighth year teaching music, and to say it’s my passion would be an understatement. I began my career in La Crosse and most recently taught K-12 vocal music and elementary music in Dubuque, Iowa. I’m thrilled to be back in the coulee region. I received my bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Viterbo University and my master’s degree in Music Education from Anderson University.

My music classes will be filled with singing, instrument-playing, dancing, movement, musical games, and composing. My goals are for students to be actively engaged in music-making and to be musically literate. I hope your children will share some of their musical experiences with you at home!

When I’m not teaching, you can find me enjoying time with my family — most likely singing and dancing with my sons Sonny (5) and Scout (3).
