The SOTA I Steering Committee is an interactive teacher/parent led group. The main objective of the committee is to promote parental involvement in building the partnership between parents, school, and the community in educating our children. The group also works to facilitate communication between parents and the staff, to promote parental involvement in the decision making process SOTA parents are encouraged to attend our meetings. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30p.m., in the LMC. Please consider attending to learn more about SOTA and take an active roll in your child’s education!
Skate-a-thon: This annual fund raiser takes place at Green Island Ice Arena on a Wednesday afternoon in January or February. Students are asked to collect pledges from family and friends for ice skating. Volunteers are needed to help solicit donations from area businesses that are used for prizes for the student participants. Bike Rodeo: Volunteers are needed for planning and organizing this fundraising/community building event which takes place on the Hamilton/SOTA playground after school in May. Help is needed on the day of the event with food sales, silent auction, bike activities, and games. During the whole year families may help by participating in the Amazon fundraiser and our ongoing Kwik Trip and Festival Foods script orders.
SOTA’s All Glazed Up Event will be on November 4th, 2019, from 5 to 8 pm
SOTA Skate-a-thon is on either March 6 or 13, 2019, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm
