If you have a teacher request for the 2019/20 school year, please write a short letter of request, including your rationale. Return it to the Spence office, addressed to Mrs. Shirel. Deadline for requests is April 12, 2019. Please do not send via email, as these are sometimes misdirected to a SPAM folder.
All requests will be considered, but not guaranteed, as we work hard to create balanced classrooms.
Our friends from the Coulee Region Humane Society Read to Rover program will once again be joining us at Spence with furry pals Anna, Niko, and Olive! We are excited to welcome them to read with our students. Find out more at https://www.couleehumane.com/read-to-rover/
This program is so exciting because:
(1) Petting a dog has been found to lower heart rate and stress.
(2) Dogs are great listeners, and they don’t make fun or tease if our readers make a mistake or have trouble.
(3) These dogs are cute and experts at listening to stories!
If you have any questions or concerns about your child participating in this program, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.
Through Family Access, families now have the ability to update their own phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, doctor, dentist, and hospital information throughout the school year. You will also have the ability to update your address.*
*Updating your address will still require verification. Your address will not be updated in our system until you provide this verification. Please provide address verification (utility bill, phone bill, or mortgage/lease) to Spence or the Registrar’s office at the Hogan Administrative Center.
