Youth Apprenticeship meets TODAY (Thursday) during resource in room 235.

 

Attention Seniors – If you would like to be one of our featured speakers at the graduation ceremony, you must submit your application to Mr. Axness or Mrs. Javner by 3:30pm TOMORROW (Friday, April 26th).  Check your email for the application form and see Mr. Axness with any questions.

 

Staff Appreciation: Student Senate is collecting letters for teacher/staff appreciation from Monday, April 29th through Thursday, May 9th at the concession stand. These letters will be delivered May 10th. Stop by and write a letter to a teacher or staff showing your appreciation! notes are free to send!

Poetry Contest: April is National Poetry Month. Student Senate’s Kindness Outreach Committee is holding a poetry contest. Please check your email to fill out a form with your poem to possibly win a prize!

 

Talent Show: Due to a lack of performances, the talent show has been cancelled. Thank you to those who signed up. We will try again next year!

 

JUNIORS and SENIORS. Prom is just around the corner. Please refer to the document you received earlier called Everything Prom to find out how to order tickets and what to expect.

Juniors–Please indicate whether or not you would like to be considered for Prom Court.  A one question Google Form was sent to you. If you have not already responded, please do so by 9:00 am on Friday. Prom Court will be announced during 5th hour.

A group of Health Science Academy Seniors are holding an item drive for the Warming Center until Friday May 3. They are accepting various items to donate to the homeless population here in La Crosse including items such as deodorant, socks, feminine hygiene products, and nonperishable food items. Posters are also posted around school with other items needed. Boxes for donations will be placed in the front office by Ms. Goodman’s Desk. We appreciate all efforts to help!

Kiss a Senior Goodbye: During senior week, “kiss a senior goodbye” by buying a chocolate kiss down in the concession stand anytime during lunch. They will be sold Monday the 29th through Thursday the 2nd. Delivery will be Friday, May 3rd. Get 3 kisses for your favorite senior for only $1.

 

Did you know that 92 million tons of clothing ends up in landfills annually? That’s the same weight as six hundred fifty thousand blue whales! From April 22-May 3rd, NHS is hosting a clothing drive. We are accepting all clothing in any condition. Clothes can be brought to the box outside room 232. Help us help the planet!

 

The Management & Entrepreneurship class is selling Central fanny packs for this class business.  They are $20 for 1 or $35 for 2.  Scan the QR codes around school to order.  Sale ends April 30.

Today is National Librarian day. Thank you to Ms. Von Arx and Ms. Von Ruden – our wonderful library staff!!!

Congratulations to the Riverhawks mens and womens track teams for their outstanding performances in the last night invitational at Prairie du Chien.  The Women’s team came home with many PR’s and top 5 finishes…as the Men’s team won the meet on the last race of the night—— Go Birds!

There are still spots available on the Sports & Entertainment Marketing field trip to Milwaukee on May 10.  This field trip is open to all students at Central who have taken a Business class and on this field trip you will tour Fiserv Forum and go to a Brewers game.  The absolute last day you can sign up to go on this field trip is by, TODAY!!!!!Monday, April 15, so make sure you see Ms. Carman for a permission form and get that turned in as soon as possible.
