Graduation for the Class of 2024 will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the La Crosse Center.

Hall of Excellence

Nominations are now open for the Hall of Excellence, class of 2024. Deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, March 1, 2024 – nomination forms are active for 3 years. Anyone can nominate a Central Alum for the Hall of Excellence. Nominees are chosen for induction in March and the Induction Ceremony happens in May each year. The Central High School Administration, in conjunction with the Central Alumni Association, established the Hall of Excellence in 1999. The Hall was established to recognize Central Alumni, staff, or members of the La Crosse community for outstanding service to La Crosse or the community they live in.

 

The Hall of Excellence currently has 65 members and is located in the south entry of Central in the lobby of the auditorium. The Hall is funded by Central High School and the Alumni Association.

Senior Picture Information

Senior year is progressing quickly, here is some deadline information regarding the 2024 yearbook.
  • 78 yearbooks remain at the price of $54 (including spring edition) at this link.
  • Senior Pictures are due November 16, 2023. Please email to lcolburn@lacrossesd.org
  • The Central Yearbook Staff is offering you the chance to publicly congratulate and wish your senior success in the future by placing a parent ad in the 2024 yearbook. Design and order here Due by January 31, 2024. We will not be mailing postcard reminders this year.
  • Yearbook staff is once again accepting younger year photos from seniors for the yearbook.  Younger year photos are groups of seniors from elementary field trips, birthday parties or sport teams.  Photos of individuals will not be included in the younger year section. Submit younger year photos to Mrs. Colburn at lcolburn@lacrossesd.orgby  December 8, 2023.

Athletic Event Ticket Sales

The MVC Conference is partnering with GoFan to provide a cashless system for all athletic entry fees. All purchases for athletic events will need to be purchased through GoFan. Your ticket will be available on your electronic device. Please note, there will be limited cash event ticket sales at our games this year.

Work Permit Information

The Workforce Development’s Equal Rights Division has developed a new online work permit application.  This new system is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be utilized from any computer, tablet, smartphone or similar device.  Payment is made directly to the department through the application, using a credit or debit card or by direct withdrawal (as of 6/2023).

To obtain a work permit, you must present the following:

  1. Letter from the employer showing their address and phone number and advising the type of work the student will be doing.
  2. $10.00—The employer must reimburse the $10.00 permit fee to the minor by no later than the date of the first paycheck.
  3. A copy of the permit will be mailed to the employer.
