JON BAUDEK, PRINCIPAL

Hello Longellow Families,

My name is Jon Baudek, and this will be my second year as Principal at Longfellow Middle School.  I previously served as Associate Principal at Longfellow Middle School and held this position since 2001. I taught eighth-grade geography and was the Middle School Dean of Students in Edina, Minnesota, before coming to La Crosse.  Furthermore, I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Minnesota and St. Thomas University.  Lastly, I am a proud graduate of Sparta High School!
I have worked with staff at Longfellow to create a safe, secure and welcoming environment and look forward to serving our school and community in a new capacity

SARAH HORTON, ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

Hello, my name is Sarah Horton and I am the Associate Principal here at Longfellow.  I am looking forward to meeting all our new students who will be walking in our doors for the first time this year as well as reuniting with those I have already had the opportunity to get to know. This year is certain to be filled with exciting new challenges and opportunities and perhaps a little trepidation as we move forward with our consolidation. With that in mind, I welcome open communication and encourage parents to contact me with any questions, thoughts, or concerns.

TERESA ELIASON, DEAN OF STUDENTS

Hello, I am Teresa Eliason and thrilled to begin my first year as Dean of Students. I look forward to getting to know all the students and providing any support due to the many changes. I encourage open and transparent communication to meet the needs of students, families, and staff.
Previously, I worked as a special education teacher and inclusion coach. I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary/middle level and special education from UW-La Crosse. While teaching in southern Wisconsin, I graduated from UW-Madison with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. My husband and I live in La Crosse with our three daughters. You may see us biking or at sporting events around town.
I am looking forward to a great year full of academic, social, and emotional growth while having some fun!!
