LA CROSSE, Wis., (January 24, 2021) – The School District of La Crosse is pleased to announce it is now accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the sale and redevelopment of the historic Lincoln Middle School, a landmark of architectural significance in the community.

The district seeks to maximize opportunities for the redevelopment of the former Lincoln Middle School site located at 510 9th Street South in La Crosse. The district is soliciting redevelopment plan offers through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The goal of the process is to award the sale to a qualified developer who reflects priorities identified by the community and can begin and complete redevelopment in a timely manner.

Interested parties should take note of the following key dates related to the RFP process:

  • Proposer conference and tour: August 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
  • Proposals due: September 20, 2023
  • Board of Education evaluation of proposals: October 2, 2023
  • Proposer interviews and Board of Education evaluation: October 16, 2023 (tentative)
  • Board of Education action: To be determined

Proposals for the redevelopment of Lincoln Middle School will be accepted in either paper or electronic format. The submission deadline is 1:00 pm on September 20, 2023. Proposals should be addressed to:
